How Can We Prepare for the Days of Awe? What's on Your Soul this Year?

Join Rabbi Jessica Shimberg on Zoom for some learning about Learn about Elul's profound practices. Elul is a month for reflecting on the year that is nearly over, and thinking about how we wish to enter the year ahead. Traditionally, and in modern times, we blow shofar every morning (except Shabbat) during the month of Elul to wake us up and begin our preparations for the teshuvah/turning and re-aiming of the ten days from Rosh HaShanah/Head of the Year (new Jewish year) and Yom Kippur/Day of At-one-ment, a day we devote to Jewish communal prayer and reparation.

If you have This is Real and You are Completely Unprepared by Rabbi Alan Lew, z"l, it is a wonderful way to prepare for our learning together. Don't let the title scare you off. And if you don't have the book, no worries ... Rabbi Jessica will provide materials.

We will meet on zoom on Sept. 8 and Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. and our learning during the first three weeks of October will be a continuation of the groundwork we do in this online learning. Please email rabbijessica@glacierjc.org with any questions and for the Zoom link.
