Reflecting on Passover

Reflecting on Passover.

After some much needed post-Passover rest, we're writing to wish you a beautiful beginning to the week and to thank you for joining us for what was a meaningful and fun week of Pesach events. Nearly 60 of you joined us for seder at The Patio, where we ate Ellie and Orion's delicious meal and shared the Passover story across many generations. On Wednesday, we gathered for an interesting discussion with Rabbi Jessica, where we discussed what it means to be "spiritual," "religious" or a little bit of both in 2024. Our Steering Committee and friends met on Thursday to envision the future of GJC, brainstorm new ideas and map out our summer. And on Friday, we closed out the week with a sushi Shabbat dinner and a surprise Torah reading by our very own Hilary Shaw.

It's incredibly meaningful to gather with old friends during holidays, and to be joined by so, so many new faces. We thank you for your time, your participation and your continued support as we build a vibrant, inclusive Jewish community up in the mountains.

As spring turns into summer, we're looking ahead to some more sunshine and GJC events. Save the date now for Shabbat Dinner at Lori and Brian's on June 14!More info to come. We're also working on a major renovation of our website and online presence, which we're excited to share the details of soon ...

See you later!
